The company Sofer from Stara Ľubovňa started with welding of metal products, gradually expanded its activities to the production of components and today it can supply complete machines. Despite challenges such as the financial crisis, the company has managed to retain orders – in a critical period, it adapted by completely changing its production programme.
He is currently working in engineering again. Its products are known not only in Germany and Austria, but also in India and Brazil. It has been exporting waste, stone and iron crushers to the Netherlands for several years.
Sofer is a family company founded by entrepreneur Ján Solecký. His wife Gabriela, who heads the economic department, and his sons – Damián as chief technologist, Dávid in the field of construction and control systems and Lukáš in the field of IT systems – are also involved in the management.
Almost all of the company’s production goes to foreign markets. Thanks to this, Sofer is nominated for the TREND Exporter of the Year 2025 award. The partner of this category of the annual TREND TOP awards is Eximbanka.
