A working meeting of the CEO Rastislav Podhorec and the Deputy CEO Igor Barát with the State Secretary of the Deputy Prime Minister for the Recovery and Resilience Plan and Knowledge Economy Alena Sabelová took place today at the Eximbank’s premises.

The free trade agreement between the European Union (EU) and India represents a significant shift in global trade. After almost twenty years of negotiations, a zone is emerging that covers some two billion people and 25 per cent of world GDP.

Representatives of Eximbank met with representatives of Korean companies this week and discussed the possibilities of developing mutual cooperation and new business opportunities.

The delegation of the Export-Import Bank of the Slovak Republic (Eximbank) concluded its working tour in Southeast Asia with a professional programme in Singapore. It included a Slovenian-Singaporean seminar on business opportunities on the local market, as well as a series of meetings with Singaporean partners and the Central European business community operating in the country.

Eximbanka wants to be an active player in financing nuclear projects in the region. This was confirmed by the participation of its top officials at the Nuclear Financing Summit in New York, the largest event in the US focused on nuclear energy financing.

The agreement between the EU and Mercosur is turning the southern continent across the Atlantic into a strategic market.

Eximbank and Banco Português de Fomento signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation and create new export opportunities. The strategic partnership aims to support Portuguese and Slovak companies in international markets.

Rastislav Podhorec, CEO of the Export-Import Bank of the Slovak Republic, and Matúš Šársky, Director of the International Relations Department, were part of the business mission to Italy led by Richard Raši, Chairman of the National Council of the Slovak Republic. The aim of the mission, which took place on 20. 20 – 21 January, was to open new opportunities for Slovak exporters and to strengthen strategic cooperation with Italian partners.

On 16 January 2026, the Export-Import Bank of the Slovak Republic (EXIMBANKA SR) and the Export-Import Bank of the United States of America (EXIM) signed a Co-financing Agreement, which creates a formal framework for the support of projects of common interest involving Slovak and American entities.
