Trade between Slovakia and Kazakhstan reached more than 140 million euros last year.
Eximbanka signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with ECA Export credit agency of Kazakhstan KazakhExport – we create conditions for Slovak exporters interested in expansion to this market. In the past, the bank has also participated in a foreign working trip to Kazakhstan (summer 2025) and a mission of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic (autumn 2024).
We are seeing growing demand for export buyer credit insurance for projects in the engineering, infrastructure and energy sectors. Kazakhstan is a strategic partner of the EU under the Global Gateway initiative – the country has 19 of 34 critical minerals and is also a key transport hub for overland transport of goods from China to Europe. The country is interested in deepening cooperation with Slovak exporters and investors, especially in the areas of energy, agriculture, logistics, digitalization and water management.
Eximbanka will continue the dialogue with the Embassy of Kazakhstan and in cooperation with partners will prepare an event aimed at presenting export opportunities for Slovak companies. Eximbanka is ready to support viable transactions.
