Small modular reactors (SMRs) are increasingly being profiled as a realistic solution for stable and low-emission power generation. They also represent an opportunity for Slovak companies to engage in international projects and supply chains with higher added value. This was highlighted at the seminar in Bratislava by Rastislav Podhorec, CEO of Eximbanka, who emphasised the role of export credit agencies in supporting these investments in a panel on project financing.

Slovak companies assert themselves on the Italian market by quality rather than quantity. Their success is based on specialisation, technological level and the ability to adapt to partners’ requirements. These factors allow them to enter supply chains and build long-term business relationships.

EXIMBANKA SR, with the consent of the client, informs that on 9 March 2026, through its insurance division, signed an insurance contract with Slovenská sporiteľňa, a. s., Bratislava, for insurance of a loan for investment of the Slovak company Envien Bioenergia Brasil, a. s., Leopoldov.

Representatives of Eximbanka (Rastislav Podhorec, Igor Barát, Matúš Šársky) met with Ambassador Robert Maxián and Economic Diplomat Simona Novosadová at the Slovak Embassy in New Delhi during last week’s working trip to India.

Representatives of Eximbanka and the National Council of the Slovak Republic (NC SR) signed today, 10 March 2026, a Memorandum of Cooperation, which creates a framework for the coordination of activities to support the economic and strategic interests of Slovakia abroad, especially in the context of foreign business trips and the presentation of Slovak companies in foreign markets.

Representatives of Eximbanka met today with the Algerian Ambassador to the Slovak Republic Habiba Derradji Kherrour. The meeting focused on the possibilities of development of economic cooperation and support of Slovak exports to Algeria.

Slovak companies are increasingly proving that their ambitions do not end at the borders of Europe. On the contrary – many of them are looking for new opportunities in markets that are still less discovered for Slovak exports, but offer huge potential.

On Friday, 27. February, on our initiative, a working meeting was held with the Minister of the Interior of the Slovak Republic and his team.

Yesterday, on 24 February, we moved education from academia to an environment where the promotion of Slovak exports is created in practice. We welcomed our future colleagues from the Faculty of Business at the University of Economics to Eximbank.
