Yesterday, on 24 February, we moved education from academia to an environment where the promotion of Slovak exports is created in practice. We welcomed our future colleagues from the Faculty of Business at the University of Economics to Eximbank.
After a short presentation of the history and development of Eximbanka, the students were welcomed by the CEO Rastislav Podhorec, who introduced them to the functioning of our institution and its role in the system of state support for exports.
Afterwards, the students became more familiar with the activities of several of our professional departments(Milan Horváth, Patrik Majerský and David Sulík) and had consultations with the guarantors of the subject Entrepreneurship in practice: the EXIMBANKA SR club(Michal Demák and Martin Schaner), with whom they discussed the problematic moments of their projects, which they work on during the semester.
Such meetings have a special added value for students. They are not just “field trips” – they give them insight into the real workings of the institution, allow them to ask questions of practitioners and better understand the links between theory and day-to-day decision-making.
EXIMBANKA SR Club thus fulfils its goal: to systematically link the academic environment with practice and to prepare future experts for international trade through work on real assignments, professional feedback and personal contact with experts in the field of export financing and insurance.
