At a recent meeting between AmCham Slovakia – Martina Slabejova, Natália Spodniak and Eximbanka – Ing.Rastislav Podhorec, MBA, Diana Polonyi, we agreed on several areas where we see strong potential for cooperation and joint activities:
Rebuilding Ukraine
We see the rebuilding of Ukraine as both a challenge and an opportunity. Confidence in investment is still cautious, but thanks to Eximbanka’s risk mitigation tools in the energy and industrial sectors to engage Slovak businesses in Ukraine’s economic recovery, we can work with the American Chamber of Commerce to find ways to increase the interest of Slovak businesses in future business partnerships in Ukraine’s territory.
Energy and the nuclear future
Slovakia is on the threshold of a new era in nuclear energy. The expected initiatives regarding the construction of a new nuclear power source bring opportunities for a broader discussion – about the promotion of nuclear energy studies as well as about the active involvement of Slovak companies. Both Eximbanka and AmCham have a common interest in popularising this topic.
Mapping the Potential of Eastern Slovakia
The project “Mapping the Potential of Eastern Slovakia” continues to connect the region with business, public and academic stakeholders. It is the Eastern Slovakia region that is a highly prospective actor in the future renewal of the Ukrainian economy. Both AmCham and Eximbanka can increase the investment attractiveness of the region by implementing joint solutions.
