Rastislav Podhorec, CEO of Eximbanka and Igor Barat, Deputy CEO of Eximbanka for Banking, together with twenty European export credit agencies and the European Investment Bank, took part on November 24 and 25, 2025. 24. 24 November and on 25 November 2025 participated in the 9th EU ECA Summit in Prague.

In a globalised economy, exports are becoming a pillar of growth and a test of a country’s competitiveness. Financial institutions, including export credit agencies, are looking for new ways to support businesses in changing market conditions and geopolitical shifts.

Representatives of Eximbanka (Pavol Tavač, Robert Lucansky, MBA) participated in the Project Finance, Infrastructure, and Impact – Specialist Meeting organized by Berne Union. The event was hosted by ATIDI – African Trade & Investment Development Insurance.

Eximbanka’s CEO Ing.Rastislav Podhorec, MBA together with Matúš Šársky, Eximbanka’s Director of International Relations, attended the 17. and 18 November 2025 in Paris on the occasion of the OECD-OCDE Working Groups on Officially Supported Export Credits.

Eximbanka as a partner of the project awards a special prize – the Eximbanka Award for Export Activities, intended for young entrepreneurs who successfully develop their activities beyond the borders of Slovakia. The competition is open to all entrepreneurs aged 18-40, regardless of legal form or sector. Innovation, creativity and the courage to grow are the decisive factors.

The winner of the 3rd year of the TREND TOP Exporter of the Year 2025 competition, sponsored by Eximbanka, was the company Sofer from Stara Ľubovňa, which produces complete machines, such as stone or waste crushers.
