The need for and importance of political risk cover is increasing given current events in global markets. Increasingly, we are witnessing the impact of climate change, conflict and regional tensions. The situation is further complicated by rising tariffs that create barriers to exports, the unpredictability of autocratic regimes and the practices of countries protecting their markets. All this disrupts supply chains and creates barriers to trade.
On Tuesday, 16 December, senior representatives of Eximbank met with representatives of the Association of Critical Infrastructure of the Slovak Republic (AKI). At the working meeting, the AKI delegation, led by its President Tibor Straka, presented the mission, goals and vision of this organization, presented the importance of the critical infrastructure area it covers, as well as the continuing relevance of the topic of critical infrastructure protection in the context of current security and technological challenges.
The winner of the Eximbank Award for Export Potential was Ivan Iľko, owner of company Vedou proti komárom. He received the award from the hands of Igor Barát, Deputy CEO of Eximbank, during the ceremony of announcing the results of the 19th edition of the Young Innovative Entrepreneur competition, which took place on Tuesday, 16 December 2025. The absolute winner was Lukáš Řezanina, co-owner of Nordics.
Representatives of the European Investment Fund (EIF) – Mario Marceta and Barnabás Sándor – visited Eximbanka’s headquarters in Bratislava, where they met with CEO Rastislav Podhorc and had a working meeting with colleagues from the International Relations Department, the Legal Department and the Non-Tradable Risk Insurance Department.
