Eximbanka CEO Rastislav Podhorec received a delegation of the Embassy of Georgia in Slovakia led by Ambassador Konstantin Kvachakidze, who was accompanied by economic diplomat George Zviadadze. The meeting was focused on the possibilities of further development of the Slovenian-Georgian economic cooperation and support for Slovak entrepreneurs in entering prospective projects in Georgia.
Eximbanka presented its activities in supporting Slovak investors in Georgia, who operate mainly in the field of infrastructure and development. Eximbank’s approach has changed in recent years: the primarily demand-oriented approach has been replaced by a proactive search for opportunities for Slovak companies in cooperation with relevant partners.
Representatives of the Georgian Embassy presented the current opportunities that the Georgian market offers to foreign investors. In particular, there is a growing demand for solutions in the energy, infrastructure and water sectors. They see room for Slovak solutions in particular in the strengthening of production capacities, energy storage, development of the transmission system, as well as in traffic control and monitoring systems.
Eximbanka declared its readiness to cooperate in sharing information on relevant opportunities for Slovak exporters. At the same time, it can provide key financial resources and risk coverage for the implementation of such projects, which are critically important for both Slovak exporters and their Georgian customers.
