“Recently, we have noticed our clients’ concerns stemming from the uncertainty in the global markets. Our aim is to be a stabilising element for Slovak exporters, to respond flexibly to their demand and to provide them with the necessary solutions,” said Igor Barát, Deputy CEO of Eximbanka, during a meeting with banks at the Visegrad 4 Business conference held on 10 June 2025 in Bratislava.
Visegrad 4 Business is a key business forum for all 4 member countries of the Visegrad Group, where current topics related to trade and industry are discussed under one roof.
As Maroš Šefčovič, EU Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security, Inter-institutional Relations and Transparency, highlighted during the conference, “I would like to give a concrete example of EU support. I was pleased to welcome the award of more than €100 million in European funds to Slovakia and Eximbank to help rebuild Ukraine’s critical energy infrastructure.”
The panel discussions also touched upon the globalisation of V4 organisations, post-pandemic recovery, developments in the field of innovation, cyber security threats, Ukraine’s reconstruction, energy transformation and state support for exports.
The topics discussed at this year’s event were:
- V4-US trade relations – who wins?
- Reinvigorating EU competitiveness
- Automotive industry at a crossroads
- V4 countries in emerging markets – plenty of opportunities
We thank the organizers for a stimulating international conference and the participants for their inspiring contributions.
