On September 15, 2026, Eximbanka hosted a professional workshop with representatives from Recovery Advisors, which focused on practical issues related to export financing, insurance claims, and debt collection in an international context.
The workshop was led by László Várnai and Peter Gaspari of Recovery Advisors, who shared their practical experience and insights on managing risk situations in export transactions with their colleagues from Eximbanka.
The first part of the program focused on the environment of export credit agencies, the principles of export financing, and how the coverage provided by export credit agencies works. The discussion also touched on ethics, integrity, and professional standards, as well as the risks associated with fraudulent conduct and ways to identify it.
A separate segment of the professional event was devoted to insurance claims and the procedures for resolving them. The afternoon session then focused on debt collection in practice—from the specifics of individual countries and jurisdictions, through basic legal aspects, to effective communication and working with debtors. The concluding session featured specific real-world examples and a discussion on opportunities for collaboration.
The discussion also provided an opportunity to compare experiences from different markets and approaches to addressing specific risk situations.
