Yesterday, Eximbanka held a series of working meetings with a representative of the European Commission (Charles de Crombrugghe) on the technical details of the guarantee agreement between the EU Commission and Eximbanka in connection with the implementation of the Ukraine Investment Framework (UIF).
In addition to colleagues from the International Relations Department, a representative of the Commission met with the Legal, Risk Management and Structured Finance Departments.
Eximbanka also organized an operational coordination meeting at SAMRS, Eximbanka’s partner agency for the implementation of investment and technical assistance grants.
The process is under the auspices of Rastislav Podhorec, CEO of Eximbanka, who received the Commission representative and presented the broader context of the importance of the UIF not only for Eximbanka but for Slovakia as a whole.
For the Slovak institutions Eximbanka and SAMRS this is the first experience with mutual cooperation on a specific project and also with the implementation of EU funds on such a scale.
The Eximbanka and the European Commission have the ambition to sign a guarantee agreement at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome.
