Rastislav Podhorec, CEO of Eximbanka and Matúš Šársky, Director of International Relations of Eximbanka, were part of the business mission within the first ever trip of the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Róbert Fico to Brazil. It is to Brazil that the largest part of Slovakia’s trade with Latin America goes.
The liberalisation of EU trade relations with MERCOSUR countries (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia) will also make it slightly easier for Slovak exporters to export their goods and services to the promising Latin American markets.
During the business mission, the entrepreneurs established new relationships with customers and also moved closer to finalizing agreements on new investment projects in Brazil.
Eximbanka is part of a broad family of the largest credit and investment insurers – Berne Union, which has recently expanded thanks to our support with a new member – the Brazilian export credit agency ABGF – Agência Brasileira Gestora de Fundos Garantidores e Garantias.
Eximbanka has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with ABGF, which creates further conditions for cooperation in support of projects of common interest. We have thus confirmed our commitment to create the conditions for the most effective support of Slovak exports to the territories that are a priority in terms of the Programme Declaration of the Government of the Slovak Republic.
