Eximbanka SR, an export credit agency focused on supporting Slovak exports, has introduced new rules for the modernization of export credits as of 15.7.2023. These rules, issued in accordance with the OECD Consensus[1], aim to adapt to the current needs of exporters, financing banks and foreign buyers, as well as to reflect the dynamics of financial markets and technological advances, particularly in the field of green technologies.

In response to the situation on the market with interest rates for business loans, EXIMBANKA SR is strengthening its media offer for discounted financing from the European Investment Bank (EIB). The loan is intended for Slovak small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and medium-sized enterprises (MID-CAPS) to finance their investment projects and working capital.
EXIMBANKA SR hosted partner export credit agencies (ECAs) from the V4 region and Austria at a conference in Modra and created an inspiring space for sharing common themes and opportunities for cooperation with partners. Given the growing challenges in international trade, export credit agencies must look for new opportunities to support export firms, which will enable them to increase their ability to compete in foreign markets.
EXIMBANKA SR within the development cooperation agenda brings new opportunities for Slovak exporters to expand and succeed in the markets of emerging countries. It thus opens the door to interesting territories for companies, with the possibility of obtaining financial support from EXIMBANKA SR or international financial institutions.
In order to increase climate resilience, export credit agencies (ECAs) are currently finalising a revision of the rules for state support for export credits aimed at adaptation and adaptation, respectively. mitigating the impacts of climate change. EXIMBANKA SR has been actively involved in the ongoing negotiations from the very beginning, with the aim of enforcing rules in the amended regulation that will enable Slovak exporters to obtain more flexible support options.
EXIMBANKA SR joins the initiative of the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic to identify the needs and preferences of Slovak exporters who are planning or already implementing export activities in Ukraine. The aim of the survey is, among other things, to know as well as possible the needs of companies and their preferences in relation to exports in the Ukrainian territory.
