Igor Barat, Deputy CEO of Eximbanka was 19. – 20 June 2025 part of the business part of the delegation that visited Slovenia as part of the visit of the President of the Slovak Republic Petr Pellegrini.
The aim of the trip was to develop and promote bilateral and economic relations.
During the meeting at the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce(Gospodarska zbornica Slovenije), a representative of Eximbanka recalled the possibilities of financing and insuring export projects.
The topic of the meeting with Kristina Fortuna, representative of the Slovenian export bank SID bank, was mainly the possibilities of insurance of export credits and co-financing of investment projects in the field of real estate development in Slovenia.
Slovak companies can find employment in Slovenia, for example, in engineering, energy, information technology, tourism and services.
Slovenia is a mature economy with a population of around 2.1 million. It is a member of the EU, the euro area, the Schengen area and the OECD. Due to its location between Central Europe and the Balkans, it plays a key role in transit trade.
Eximbanka has intensified its activities in the last year in order to bring Slovak exporters the best possible opportunities to succeed on foreign markets.
