Slovak companies have the ambition to grow abroad, but when entering new markets they often face risks, lack of contacts or difficult financing conditions. That is why Eximbanka presented to the representatives of foreign embassies the tools that support Slovak exporters in the development of international trade.
Eximbanka’s CEO Rastislav Podhorec, Deputy CEO for the Banking Division Igor Barát and Director of International Relations Matúš Šársky attended a working meeting with representatives of embassies accredited for the Slovak Republic. The event, which was co-organised by Eximbanka and the Canadian Embassy in the Slovak Republic, was a continuation of the existing systematic dialogue on the development of business opportunities between Slovakia and partner countries.
The aim of the meeting was to introduce Eximbank as a partner of Slovak exporters as well as their foreign business partners. Eximbanka supports the trade exchange of Slovakia with foreign countries through financing, insurance and other instruments that help companies to more securely implement export contracts and develop cooperation in foreign markets.
“For an open economy like Slovakia, international trade is not an option, but a necessity. Compared to global players, Slovak companies are still building their position on the world market. They offer quality, but often lack the courage to face the unknown. That is why they need us. Eximbanka is ready to help Slovak companies enter new markets, absorb risks and bring solutions where concrete business opportunities arise,” said Rastislav Podhorec, CEO of Eximbanka.
One of the tasks of foreign embassies is to promote mutual business cooperation. They are an important source of contacts, market information and trusted connections not only for Eximbank, but also for Slovak export companies in countries where they want to develop their business activities. It is the linking of Eximbank’s financial instruments with the capabilities of diplomatic missions accredited in Slovakia that can help our exporters to enter new markets more quickly and safely.
Eximbanka wants to continue to actively contribute to Slovak companies being able to more ambitiously exploit opportunities in international trade.
