Representatives of Eximbanka(Rastislav Podhorec, Pavol Tavač, Vladimir Jager) met yesterday, 11 March 2026, with representatives of the European Investment Bank(Anders Risberg, Celia Alvarez Rodriguez, Katja Belsak).
The main topic of the meeting was a discussion on mutual cooperation between the two institutions.
The meeting focused in particular on the support to SMEs and medium-sized companies through Eximbank’s financing in the form of loans from the European Investment Bank, including the use of the EIB credit line.
The advantage of a loan from the EIB credit line is a preferential interest rate of at least 0.25% p.a., while small and medium-sized enterprises and medium-sized companies can use it up to EUR 12.5 million.
Cooperation between institutions plays an important role in strengthening access to finance for Slovak enterprises and supporting their application in foreign markets.
