Rastislav Podhorec, CEO of Eximbanka and Matúš Šársky, Director of International Relations of Eximbanka were together with 25 companies part of this week’s delegation to Delhi and Calcutta on the occasion of the working trip of Mr. Juraj Blanár, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and Mr. Ladislav Kamenický, Minister of Finance of the Slovak Republic to India.
Both Ministers appreciate the active approach and commitment of Eximbank to support Slovak exports directly in the territories and provide us with the necessary support.
Slovakia is India’s 6th largest trading partner within the EU.
The Indian market is full of challenges that an exporter has to take into account – they need to have a good business plan, the ability to scale production and a strong local partner.
Eximbanka can help exporters mitigate commercial and political risks.
Eximbanka has contributed to the implementation of significant projects and investments of Slovak companies in India, thanks to which the Slovak-Indian trade exchange has exceeded € 1 billion in the past period.
Representatives of Eximbanka attended dozens of meetings, both at the highest political level and with Indian and Slovak companies, during the work programme in Delhi and the opening of the new Honorary Consulate in Calcutta.
We believe that the mission will bring results in the form of new partnerships between Slovak and Indian entrepreneurs, and Eximbanka is ready to be a part of them.
