The cooperation of Eximbanka with the University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA) has successfully completed its third year. Students in the course Business in Practice: the EXIMBANKA SR Club presented the results of their semester projects and again pleasantly surprised us.
In the course Business in Practice: the EXIMBANKA SR Club, students presented the results of their semester projects directly in the premises of Eximbank. The growing interest of students confirms that linking theory with practice makes sense.
“I am very happy that we have been able to connect the academic environment with practice for a long time. Students have worked with challenging topics that go beyond the scope of ordinary studies, and yet they have been able to grasp them systematically, creatively and with an emphasis on relevance. The positive reactions from Eximbank and the interest of students in this club are a clear signal to me that such projects have a strong place in university education,” said Assoc. Mgr. Elena Kašt’áková, PhD., Head of the Department of International Business at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Economics in Bratislava.
During the semester, the students explored current topics such as the history and development of insurance in international trade, mapped the ecosystem of services to support exporters and investors in Slovakia, analyzed MERCOSUR countries and their importance in international trade, and took a deeper look at India as one of the world’s most dynamically growing economies.
Michal Demák, Director of Eximbank’s Non-Tradable Risk Insurance Department, added that “each year of this cooperation shows us that young people are surprisingly mature in their thinking about tradable risks and international trade. The students were able to not only understand the topics, but also to put them into a real-world context, and this is exactly what we expect from future professionals.”
