Eximbanka congratulates Ivan Šramek on the award of the state decoration – the Ludovít Štúr Council of the First Class. On Saturday, 9 January, the award for exceptional merits for the development of the Slovak Republic in the field of management and administration of the state, finance and economy was received by the President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini, from the hands of the President of the Slovak Republic.
Ivan Šramko is one of the important personalities of the Slovak financial and economic environment. During his professional career, he has held several key positions, including Governor of the National Bank of Slovakia during the introduction of the euro, Slovak Ambassador to the OECD and Chairman of the Council for Budget Responsibility. Since 2020 he has been the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Eximbanka.
“This high state award is a highly dignified recognition of the long-standing professional and public activity of I.Šramek, his personal contribution to the development of key areas of the functioning of the state. We see it as a confirmation of his professionalism, expertise and responsible approach to public service,” said Rastislav Podhorec, CEO of Eximbanka.
