In early April, a meeting was held between former governors and CEOs of Eximbanka and its current management.
The aim of the meeting was to start a tradition of exchanging views, experiences and suggestions on the direction of the institution. The meeting was attended by most of the former and current officials of Eximbanka who have been working there since its establishment in 1997.
Discussions touched upon the origins of Eximbanka, the accession processes to the Berne Union, strengthening Eximbanka’s reputation abroad, cooperation with foreign export credit agencies, building a healthy corporate culture, and Eximbanka’s chairmanship of the Working Group on Export Credits during the Slovak EU presidency, the successful management of the COVID 19 pandemic, the streamlining of Eximbanka’s operations, kick-starting trade and growth, strengthening the public perception of Eximbanka, Eximbanka’s role as an important partner in the economic diplomacy of the Slovak Republic, and recent milestones.
Eximbanka has intensified its activities in the last year in order to bring Slovak exporters the best possible opportunities to succeed on foreign markets. In this context, Eximbanka has successfully introduced the EU Global Gateway initiative for Slovak entrepreneurs, organises Export Clubs to introduce individual world territories to exporters, cooperates in economic diplomacy, business missions and presentations, is present in the regions and in strengthening Slovak exports, and for this purpose the Slovak Government strengthened its capital last year.
