Representatives of Eximbank and the University of Economics in Bratislava signed today a Memorandum of Cooperation, the aim of which is to develop mutual cooperation in the field of scientific research and consulting activities, socially beneficial activities and educational process. On behalf of Eximbank the Memorandum was signed by Ing. Rastislav Podhorec, MBA General Director of Eximbank and Ing. Pavol Tavač, Deputy CEO of Eximbank. On behalf of the University of Economics in Bratislava the Memorandum was signed by prof. Ing. Ferdinand Daňo, PhD, Rector of the University.
“I am glad that we have given an official framework to the cooperation with the University of Economics, which has been going on since February in the form of the EXIMBANKA SR Klub course, in which students discover the magic of foreign trade from the perspective of export financing and insurance, economic diplomacy and support for development projects. I appreciate the term papers that students are currently working on within the course, namely the linking and the role of economic diplomacy in practice, the potential of export opportunities for the next three years, the impact of EU sanctions on Russia and Belarus and their impact on Slovak exports, and the financing of small modular reactors. Following the progress of these young and clever people, I believe that the conclusions of their work will be useful not only for them but also for the professional public,” said Rastislav Podhorec, CEO of Eximbanka.

ABOUT EXIMBANK SR
As the only direct instrument of the state for financing exports, EXIMBANKA SR is an important part of the chain responsible for promoting the country’s economic policy in the field of external economic relations. It is an important instrument of state support for exports in the field of financing, provision of guarantees and insurance of credit risks. It offers a wide range of export-related financial products, in particular credit insurance, financing and guarantees. As a state export credit agency, it enables Slovak exporters to enter into trade and investment relations where the commercial financial sector is less interested in taking on risk and therefore performs a complementary function.
