CHANGES IN THE MANAGEMENT OF EXIMBANK SR

Eximbanka SR has the following effective from 29. December 2022 in the leadership of two new members. Marián Janočko became a new member of the Bank’s Supervisory Board and the new CEO. Rastislav Podhorec is also a new member of the Bank’s Supervisory Board and a new Deputy Governor.

“My vision is to support Slovak entrepreneurs as much as possible and in the shortest possible time within the Eximbank’s mandate. Where private financial institutions cannot provide services to businesses, Eximbank plays an important role,” said Marián Janočko, whose priority will be, as with other projects, to make our institution more efficient. “If we want to simplify financing for our companies, we will need to reflect their feedback more and at the same time make the business process of lending and insurance more dynamic.”

JUDr. Marián Janočko has had a successful career in Slovak Consolidation, a.s., which takes care of the state’s claims. The company’s 2021 earnings were thirteen times higher than projected by previous management. In 2022, Slovenská konsoliddačná will have its highest profit ever and in addition, it has introduced AI-assisted debt recovery systems. Marián Janočko also managed two investment funds, was chairman of the supervisory board of the Slovak Guarantee and Development Bank (SZRB) and was also chairman of the board of Skybridge. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice.

Ing. Rastislav Podhorec, MBA has extensive experience in the banking and insurance sector. Previously, he served as Managing Director of AIG Funds Central Europe and also as Senior Banker at the International Investment Bank.
