Eximbank representatives (Rastislav Podhorec, Igor Barát, Milan Horváth and Matúš Šársky) received today the Uzbek delegation led by Uzbek Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamahmudov.
Eximbank is a key instrument for supporting Slovak exports to Uzbekistan – through insurance it increases the appetite of the commercial sector and also has direct instruments for financing e.g. Slovak investments in Uzbekistan.
We already have several transactions of Slovak companies to Uzbekistan in the pipeline and we are ready to continue supporting viable projects of Slovak exporters.
Uzbekistan is a promising country that can be a suitable alternative for exporters interested in Eastern markets.
Eximbank consistently points to the potential that the Central Asia region (Export Club) has for exporters and also supports the coordinated activities of Slovak ministries and the Government of the Slovak Republic in relation to Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek side has declared its interest in mutually beneficial cooperation, especially in Slovak investments and technologies contributing to the development of Uzbekistan – in the agricultural, chemical, metalworking, energy, IT and automotive sectors.
Eximbank is preparing a trip to Uzbekistan in early April and will systematically follow up on the cooperation topics we have started today.
