Your risks may be minimalized with a letter of credit, especially if you trade with new partners or partners from countries with increased economic and political risk. The letter of credit also addresses the risk of non-acceptance of the goods by the buyer.
You will be provided with a guarantee that the bank will act only in accordance with the terms of the documentary letter of credit, and neither party will change or cancel the terms set forth therein without the consent of all stakeholders.
You will have the certainty that if the terms of the documentary letter of credit are met, the buyer’s bank will pay for the delivered goods or services.
